Argentina Posadas Mission

On March 26, 2014 I will enter the Provo Missionary Training Center. From there I will learn Spanish and learn how to teach others about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After six weeks there I will fly down to my mission, which covers parts of northern Argentina and southern Paraguay (my mission is split basically in half between these two countries). I will then live in South America for approximately seventeen months as I teach, learn, and love.

If you wish to contact me you can write letters or send emails. For my addresses, talk to my parents or siblings (I'm not super comfortable with just posting them here for anyone to see since it's a public blog).

Even though I am kind of terrible at writing letters, I will try my hardest to respond to everyone who writes. I will have very limited contact with friends and family back home, so any letters will be greatly appreciated.

I am so grateful for all the support from family, friends, and everyone else whom I have told regarding my decision to serve a mission. But above all, I am so thankful to the comfort and strength I receive from my Savior, Jesus Christ. Serving a mission is not something I ever imagined for myself, but I do know that this is the right thing for me to do. I am going where Heavenly Father wants me to go- it seems cheesy, but right now I absolutely love the hymn that says "I'll go where you want me to go, dear Lord, over mountain or plain or sea; I'll say what you want me to say, dear Lord; I'll be what you want me to be."

So here I go, plunging into the most terrifying, exciting, challenging, and thrilling experience of my life. I rely on faith, family, and friends to sustain me as I leave behind everything I am used to and prepare to serve others with all my heart for the next eighteen months.

My family will (hopefully) be keeping this blog updated with the letters and pictures I send home.
